Microsoft, Apple and Google…tracing the money!

January 18, 2013

Microsoft, Apple, and Google: where does the money come from? | ZDNet

This is a really strong article worth reading. When you trace the money, it confirms exactly why I believe Microsoft is in such a great place. Furthermore, this illustrates my point when discussing Apple. For anyone who says, “Apple sells computers at $1,500”, please point to this graph. The truth is, the devices they actually sell are sub-$1000 devices. Welcome to the post-PC era.

As for Google, well, it confirms what I think. They are a marketing company that truthfully makes no money as a tech company. However, without a conceivable threat to their core business that really allows them to compete aggressively against Microsoft. Anyone see why Microsoft is so interested in building a reasonable threat against Search and marketing?

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a colleague who has been conducting a little research on this. And he in fact ordered me dinner because I found it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thanks for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending some time to discuss this subject here on your web page.
